In this issue of Eurosoft's eNewsletters to industry professionals we would like to focus on the upcoming AWFS (Association of Woodworking & Furnishings Suppliers) trade show in Las Vegas,
NV (July 22nd – July 25th, Las Vegas Convention Center: www.awfsfair.org). The 2015 show is expected to be larger and better attended than the AWFS in 2013; While not quite back to pre-recession size, it is still a good sign that vendors and visitors are regaining their confidence.
In addition to expanded floor-space and a larger number of exhibitors, there is a greater focus on educational opportunities for
attendees, student competitions as well as a special emphasis on plastic fabrication through the “AWFS Plastics Program”.
Taken together, this considerably widens the spectrum of “things worth seeing” at the AWFS this year.

One of the new educational opportunities at the AWFS is the so-called “Stage” : basically a series of mini-presentations from various software exhibitors on the show floor at booth # 5531. On Wednesday, July 22nd at 11:15 AM, I will have the honor of presenting my thoughts on “What to look out for in modern manufacturing software”. The goal of the presentation is to establish some criteria for what is important when deciding on the implementation of software in general and applications in manufacturing in particular. If you are planning to attend the AWFS please make sure you don’t miss my presentation and join the discussion.
