IWF: The Biggest Baddest American Woodworking Trade Show
The IWF (International Woodworking Fair), is the largest North American industry event for woodworkers and manufacturers taking place in 2018. Held every even calendar year, the IWF in 2018 will be hosted at the Georgia World Congress Center in Downtown Atlanta Georgia between Wednesday, August 22nd through Saturday, August 25th. Eurosoft will be exhibiting again this year, as we have done every year that the IWF has taken place since Eurosoft was founded in 1996. So we’ve seen the IWF during the boom years in 2004/2006 and also the recession years of 2008/2010, when floor space and attendance significantly contracted and many thought trade shows would fizzle out forever. In 2018, following 3 consecutive shows of exhibitor and attendance growth, the IWF will switch from the combination of Halls A and B to a combination of Halls B and C to provide more floor space for the expanding show. In 2016, at 532,565sf of exhibition space, the IWF ranked #32 on the largest shows in the USA… Not bad for a bunch of woodpeckers! We’re looking forward to the excitement of being at a re-energized show in an industry that has embraced the role of software and automation as an important and critical part of manufacturing, especially in the last 2-3 years. In many ways the industry has pushed to the very fore-front of some of the most interesting emerging tech fields found across all industries, including automation, Industry 4.0 and the Internet of Things (IoT), which hasn’t always been the case.
